About Me

Hi, my name is Amelia Scherer. I am currently a Graphic Communications senior at Clemson University where I am captain of the Clemson Women's Rowing team. I am on track to graduate in May 2026. Following graduation, my hopes are to stay in the athletic world and hold a graphic design position for a team in the NFL, NBA or MLB.

As a Division I student-athlete, I bring a unique perspective to creative work in athletics. Competing at a high level has taught me discipline, resilience, and how to thrive in high-pressure and team-oriented environments. These qualities influence my approach to design as I understand both the athlete’s experience and the importance of how a team presents itself to recruits, fans, and the public.

I’ve gained hands-on experience as a Creative Media Intern for Clemson Football, where I design recruiting graphics, assist with photography, and contribute to projects that directly support one of the nation’s top athletic programs. Each semester, my role has expanded, giving me the opportunity to take on more responsibility and refine my creative and leadership skills. Beyond Clemson Football, I have also taken on freelance graphic design projects with Clemson Barstool and Michigan State Men’s Lacrosse, experiences that challenged me to adapt my creative style while maintaining different brand identities.

Blending my background as a Division I athlete with my passion for design allows me to create work that is authentic and impactful. I’m excited to continue growing as a designer and to bring this unique perspective into a career in professional sports.
